Credit Solutions Of America complaint

I use credit solutions to eliminate my debt and it did work and I was able to get out of $10,000 worth of credit card debt in just less than a year. They are horrible to try to get a hold of. Everyone is always very polite, but I am always fuming after being on hold for so long and never getting an answer. They are a bit unorganized. They say they will call every month and check in, I never heard from anyone, but I always emailed them my savings balance, and then mentioned once how I had never heard from anyone, and got 5 phone calls in one day, just checking in.....a little much. However, I was never told they would contact my creditors. I was told to send them letters and close my accounts. I was just told to call them when I had saved a specific percentage of my balance, and they would try to negotiate at that point. I saved, and called, and it did work out, even though the card balance had gone to lawyers, they still negotiated a better deal for me. I felt they did their job on that one, but my other credit card company just offered me a deal about 6 months into the program for half the balance and I took it. Credit solutions had nothing to do with it. So that is why I feel mixed, they did help me, and I am so glad to be done, but there definitely are some frustrating customer service factors. Also, I don't know why everyone gave them so much money! I only paid them $100 for the first 3 months and then $60 for a few months following that. I know that giving them any money isn't ideal, but they are a business as well. Bottom line is that you need to make it work for you, no one will do it for you.
