I tried credit solutions over a year ago. They told me to ignore the calls from creditors but after about 2 months a started to panic, secured a loan and negotiated payoffs of all of my cards. My credit is shot mostly, as it's being explained to me, because of the late payments I incurred. Stay away from these people. You can do the same thing on your own.

James, great way to lose your job man. A credit solutions company scammed my husband as well. They advised him to not make any payments to his creditors while they were "negotiating his settlements." Well meantime he jumped to default rates on all of his credit cards and ruined his credit because of past due amounts. And guess what? His largest creditor: Chase, whom he owed 15K refused to settle. Now he gets to pay off 15K at 30% dflt rate when he used to have a good rate. And he cant open up any new cards to do a bal tran because his credit is shot. Beware of these "consolidation" companies. The only consolidation that does anyone any good is the Fed Student loan prgm. Debt solutions only ruin your credit further which defeats the purpose of using them.
